Zig-Zag Balance Beam – Walk
- Step up on beam and walk entire length of beam while maintaining balance
- Continue forwards and backwards for more of a challenge
Zig-Zag Balance Beam – Touch Down
- Balance on one leg with slightly bent knee
- Slowly bend supporting knee to lower upper body towards beam
- Attempt to touch beam while maintaining balance on single leg
- Return slowly with control and repeat on opposite leg
Zig-Zag Balance Beam – Overhead Reach
- The balance on beam with one-leg with that knee slightly bent
- Allow the non-balancing leg to raise backward as you bend forward at the hips
- Extend arms overhead to reach forward with a comfortable bend
- Return slowly with control and repeat on the opposite leg
